Make note in your calendars! In addition to all Saturdays and Sundays, WIPO will be closed for business on the following official holidays in 2025:
- Wednesday, January 1 (New year)
- Friday, April 18 and Monday, April 21 (Easter)
- Thursday, May 29 (Ascension)
- Monday, June 9 (Whitsun)
- Friday, August 1 (Swiss National Day)
- Thursday, December 25 (Christmas)
- Wednesday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve)

Important notes
- Customer Service: Will be closed on these days, but messages submitted via Contact Hague will be addressed on the next working day.
- Bulletin: Will be published every Friday, even if a Friday is a WIPO holiday.
- Time limits: Will be extended to the next working day if a time limit for submitting communication to WIPO (e.g. renewals) expires on a WIPO holiday.
Reminder for 2024 official holidays
WIPO will also be closed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
