Availability of Online Services during Madrid Operation System Upgrade (March 17-23)

On March 23, Madrid Registry operation systems will be upgraded through the deployment of the new the Madrid International Registrations Information System (MIRIS). Madrid System users are invited to take note of some temporary changes to online services during the system upgrade period of March 17-23.
What Can Be Expected?
- Interruption of Updates to the Registry: ROMARIN, Madrid Real- Time Status and Madrid Portfolio Manager will be available for consultation during the upgrade period, but information displayed will reflect the last update on March 17. No new notifications will be sent for Madrid E-Alert subscriptions during this period. Updates will resume on March 23 and reflect requests received during the upgrade period. Weekly notifications of March 17 and March 24 are expected to proceed as scheduled.
- Processing of Transactions: E-Services, including E-Renewal, E-Payment, E-Subsequent Designation and Madrid Portfolio Manager, will remain available and operational during the system upgrade period. All requests and transactions submitted to the Madrid Registry during this time will be stored for processing in the new IT system after March 23. Transactions for which processing has been delayed will reflect the original date of receipt of the request by WIPO.
