Working Together for ASEAN

The WIPO Singapore Office (WSO) was pleased to welcome IP Attachés and staff from organizations who provide technical assistance and capacity development in ASEAN to our annual meeting.

Each year the WSO organizes a meeting with representatives from the EUIPO, EPO, INPI (France), IP Australia, JETRO (Japan), the UKIPO and the USPTO. In the meeting, each organization shares details on recent activities and future plans. In doing this, the group identifies opportunities to collaborate and ensures capacity building efforts are not duplicated.

The overarching objective of the group is to enhance the IP ecosystem in all ASEAN countries.

As always, the meeting was characterized by open dialogue and a great willingness to share information and work together.

The WSO looks forward to working collaboratively with each of the participating organizations in 2023!
