A Patent Landscape Report Milestone!

With the publication of the most recent report on Generative AI, the WIPO IP Analytics team has now successfully completed 20 WIPO Patent Landscape Reports. This is a significant milestone in our mission to support innovators, the R&D community, and ventures worldwide. Each report represents countless hours of research, analysis, and collaboration, and we are incredibly proud of the results.

There is a rich history of patent analytics at WIPO, which began in 2010 through a Development Agenda project of the WIPO Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP). Since 2014, Patent Landscape Reports have become a mainstream WIPO activity, and studies have been produced in the fields of public health, food and agriculture, ICT, climate change and environment, and disabilities.

These reports have been prepared in partnership with UN agencies, international organizations, national IP offices, research organizations, and NGOs and have been used to help Member States develop their IP and innovation ecosystems to drive economic growth and support researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs around the world.

As we celebrate this milestone, the WIPO IP Analytics team remain committed to pushing the boundaries of patent analytics and striving to be a recognized thought leader and global center of excellence for conducting IP analytics. And you won't have to wait too long for the next WIPO Patent Landscape Report, which will launch next month!
