Cabo Verde Joins the Paris Convention and the PCT

On April 6, 2022, the Government of Cabo Verde deposited its instruments of accession to both the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property (Paris Convention) and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) with WIPO's Director General. The Paris Convention and the PCT will both enter into force for Cabo Verde on July 6, 2022.

The accession of Cabo Verde to the PCT will make it the 156th member of the PCT Union.
