Payments with a Credit or Debit Card in WIPO Pay

You can select one of the available credit or debit cards in WIPO Pay to pay your fees to WIPO and UPOV:

  • The availability of credit or debit cards depends on the service that you are paying
  • American Express can be used to pay the fees in Swiss Francs (CHF) only

How do I pay my IP fees in WIPO Pay with a credit or debit card?

  • Step 1

    File your application

    • File your application for PCT, eHague, eLisbon, Domain Name cases and UPOV Online Services,
    • enter WIPO Pay, and
    • select credit or debit card as your payment method.
  • Step 2

    Pay using your credit or debit card

    Enter your credit or debit card details in an encrypted & secured environment.
    Strong customer authentication (SCA) may be required by your bank or card issuer to validate your credit card payment (PSD2). If you experience problems, please contact your bank or card issuer for assistance.
  • Step 3

    Select DCC* if you want to pay in your own currency

    You will see the total fees amount converted in the chosen currency.
    *DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion) allows international customers to pay in their domestic currency.
  • Step 4

    Receive an immediate email confirmation and a receipt from WIPO

    If the payment is successful, you will receive a payment confirmation and a receipt by email within 2 working days.
    The payment confirmation will include your Basket ID reference that you can use for any enquiry for WIPO Pay.
