Browsing and Searching the International Designs Bulletin is Easier than Ever!

8 mai 2024

We’ve just made your online experience with the International Designs Bulletin – the official publication of the Hague System – better than ever through the release of a version that introduces a new layout and features. This update maintains the features of its predecessor while introducing a layout integrated with other eHague online services and providing you with robust capabilities to search international registrations, renewals, and modifications since 2012.

The changes we introduced have improved the user experience and capabilities for you to track new international designs and make the most of the Hague System’s official publication.

What’s Changed?

If you’re familiar with the old Bulletin, don’t worry! All the same features of the previous version are still there. The most significant change you’ll see is the layout, which is now harmonized with other eHague online services.

Enhanced and unified layout and user experience

We’ve introduced an updated visual layout and cohesive user experience that facilitates easier navigation and interaction. This makes it easier for you to browse through issues of the Bulletin, view various recording types, and complete searches.

Whether you browse an entire issue or peruse search results, we made it more intuitive by introducing enhanced pagination, making records more readable.

Persistent search settings remain active until manually reset, even when toggling between individual records and the search results list.

Improved display of records

Viewing individual records, whether it’s a registration, renewal, or modification, has also improved and is more user friendly. The new layout features larger images and enhanced typography, making information not only easier to digest but also more accessible through simplified navigation.

From an individual record, now you can quickly navigate to any other record in the Bulletin issue by simply selecting the number from the drop-down list.

We’ve also increased the number of records visible on a single page – up to 100 – making it easy to find a wealth of information at a glance.

Exporting search results

Do you want to save the results of a search or list of records in a Bulletin issue? Now you can through a built-in export feature that will export all displayed records to an Excel file, facilitating offline viewing.

We’ve also added a print button to each individual record so you can quickly print or save the record to a PDF.

Retaining popular features

Key functionalities such as the ability to conduct advanced searches based on multiple criteria, search by international registration number, search the archives from 2004 to 2011, and download an XML version of the Bulletin have been preserved and enhanced for better accessibility and an improved user experience thanks to the new layout. And of course, the Bulletin remains available in the official languages of the Hague System – English, French, and Spanish.

Moving forward

The updates implemented in the latest version of the Bulletin were developed in response to user feedback and the evolving needs of Hague System users. These enhancements not only improve the Bulletin now but also pave the way for future refinements and new features for our online services.
