WIPO Publication No.264(E)

This reprint was prepared on the occasion of the amendments to the Regulations under the Lisbon Agreement for the Protection of Appellations of Origin and their International Registration, as adopted by the Assembly of the Lisbon Union during its twenty-fifth (18th ordinary) session, which took place in Geneva from September 22 to October 1, 2009, and the establishment of Administrative Instructions for the Application of the Lisbon Agreement by the Director General on the basis of new Rule 23bis of the amended Regulations.

In the preparation of this reprint, a number of translation errors were identified in the previous edition of the official English text of the Agreement. Those errors have been corrected in the present reprint, after consultation with member States. They concern Articles 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14 and 16 of the Agreement.
