Madrid System e-Filing Now Available in Israel

Are you are the holder of a national trademark registration in Israel, looking to extend your business overseas? If yes, then starting July 19, 2023, you will be able to file your application for an international trademark registration directly online using our Madrid System e-Filing service. The Israel Patent Office is the 20th intellectual property Office of a Madrid System Member to make this service available.

We encourage Israeli applicants who wish to protect their trademark abroad to use this system.

Madrid e-Filing – a fully digital process

Madrid e-Filing provides a completely digital and streamlined environment for users to file – and IP Offices to process – applications for international trademark registrations. Trademark applicants can directly communicate with their Office of Origin, and receive – and respond to – any irregularity notices issued by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) through the platform. The process is secure, and saves valuable time!

How to use Madrid System e-Filing

  1. Access Madrid e-Filing on the Israel Patent Office’s website;
  2. Log on, and select "New application";
  3. Enter your “basic mark” (Israel national application or registration) number and key information (holder name, type of mark, logo, goods and services, etc.); and
  4. Follow the prompts to complete your application.
