Sadao Nagaoka, a national of Japan, is professor at the Institute of Innovation Research, Hitotsubashi University.
His current research interests focus on the institution and policy of intellectual property rights, determinants of research and development productivity and profitability, compensation for innovators, and technology policy. He has participated in a number of government committees and study groups on intellectual property rights, standards, competition and trade policy.
Dr. Sadao Nagaoka has a M.S. (Management) and a Ph.D.(Economics), both from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has work experiences in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Japan, the World Bank and the OECD.
