Kul B. Luintel is a Professor of Economics and Finance at Brunel University, London. He obtained B.A. (1978) and MA (1981) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and worked at the research department of the Central Bank of Nepal for several years. He then became Deputy Chief Officer at the Bank. Subsequently, he received Mphil. (1990) and PhD (1993) from Glasgow University, Scotland. He has worked and taught at the University of Wales Swansea, Loughborough University and Keele University.
Professor Luintel is an expert in the field of Empirical Development Finance. His specialities are finance and growth, monetary economics, real exchange rate, applied econometrics and international knowledge spillovers. He has published articles in journals like the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Economic Journal, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organisation, among others.
