Jasemine C. Chambers is the Deputy Administrator for External Affairs at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In that capacity, she assists the Administrator for External Affairs in providing advice to the Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO on policy matters relating to intellectual property protection, including proposed legislation and international activities of the United States. Previously, Jasemine was the Director in Technology Center 1600 (Biotechnology) and then the Director in Technology Center 2900 (Designs). A former law clerk to Chief Judge Randall Rader of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Jasemine also has held appointments at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, the Department of State, and the National Institutes of Health.
