Tilman Lueder

Tilman Lueder is the head of the Copyright Unit at the European Commission. The unit is responsible for the development of EU policy in the area of copyright and related rights. This involves the drafting of impact studies and legislative proposals, evaluation reports, the administration of seven directives and regular representation of the Commission in the Council Working Group on Copyright. At international level, the unit represents the European Community and its Member States in the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
From 2002 to 2005, Tilman was the Commission's spokesman for antitrust policy. Previously, from 1999 to 2002, he worked in the antitrust department, mostly in the areas of telecommunications and posts. From 1995 to 1999, Tilman worked in private practice and from 1992 to 1995 he was an administrator at the European Commission, dealing with the free movement of goods.
