A holder of Masters in Intellectual Property MIP (Africa University), Zimbabwe. BSC. Wood Science &Technology (Moi University), Kenya. Since 2006, working as the head of IP Division at Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI) and has accomplished the following:-. Carried out IP Audit, developed an IP Policy, carried out several IP capacity building and IP awareness creation, filed for more than Ten Patents based on KIRDI’s Technologies with the National IP Office. I work closely with SMEs, Young Innovators, Research Institutions and Universities on IP related issues. I have been an external consultant to WIPO as a speaker in IP Forums in Malawi, Uganda, Lesotho, Swaziland and Sierra Leone with specific focus on industrial property, IP and SMEs, and Technology transfer from universities/research institutions to industries amongst others. I have carried out IP Needs Assessment and Developed Intellectual Property Development Plan for Lesotho and Sierra Leone. I Worked with Prof Tom Ogada in a research project sponsored by WIPO on “Developing Country based Benchmarking Tools for IP Systems”
