WIPO – Luiss 1st Global INTAN-Invest Conference

Better Data for Better Policy

This conference marks the launch of the new Global INTAN-Invest Database. Global INTAN-Invest is the first database providing up-to-date measures of investment in intangible assets for a range of high-income economies as well as emerging economies, starting with India.

Inviting all interested academics, IP practitioners and policymakers to join us as we discuss the latest evidence on global investment in intangible assets. The conference focuses on the policy implications of advancements in measuring investment in intangible assets using more timely data with a wider coverage of advanced as well as emerging economies.

WIPO-Luiss Partnership on Intangible Assets in the Global Economy

The conference is the first in a series of events organized as a part of the WIPO-Luiss Partnership on Intangible Assets in the Global Economy. This partnership aims to produce up-to-date statistics on global investment in intangible assets, expanding the coverage to emerging economies such as India and Brazil.

Highlights of the conference

Highlights of the conference include opening remarks by Marco Alemán (Assistant Director General, WIPO) and Raffaele Oriani (Dean, Luiss Business School). The conference features keynote speeches by reputed experts Carol Corrado (Georgetown University) and John Fernald (INSEAD), and a concluding policy panel with the IP office heads from India (Dr. Unnat Pandit), Singapore (Mrs. Rena Lee) and the United Kingdom (Mr. Andy Bartlett).

Practical information

The conference will take place at the Luiss Business School headquarter in a beautiful 19th century venue called Villa Blanc.
