Anca is a Canadian attorney member of the Québec Bar who graduated with an LL.B. degree in civil law, a Juris Doctor degree in common law, and an LL.M. degree in transnational law. Anca worked with 5 UN organizations to date: UNESCO in Paris, UNDP in New York City, IOM and WIPO in Geneva and UNICEF in Budapest. Within the UN system, Anca held roles working on patent law of ocean science technologies, patent drafting and investigations.

Before joining the UN system, Anca served fashion clients in a boutique IP law firm in Montréal. She also worked in the IP department of Louis Vuitton and Berluti in Paris on civil enforcement and the management of IP portfolios. Anca currently examines the role of IP in the creative industries (fashion, film, music etc.) and the future of the creative industries in the digital era.
