Se ha convocado esta reunión conforme a la decisión de la Asamblea General de la OMPI con el propósito de examinar la versión revisada de un proyecto de examen de las cuestiones de la relación mutua entre el acceso a los recursos genéticos y los requisitos de divulgación en las solicitudes de derechos de propiedad intelectual, en respuesta a una invitación dirigida a la OMPI por la Conferencia de las Partes en el Convenio sobre la Diversidad Biológica. Invitaciones: Abierta a los Estados miembros de la OMPI y a los observadores acreditados ante el Comité Intergubernamental sobre Propiedad Intelectual y Recursos Genéticos, Conocimientos Tradicionales y Folclore, el Comité Permanente sobre el Derecho de Patentes (SCP) y el Grupo de Trabajo sobre la Reforma del PCT.
