| Counterfeit medicines not only infringe IP rights, including trademarks and patents, but also pose grave threats to public health, endangering the lives of patients globally. In this session, we will examine the impact that counterfeit medicines have on public health, as well as on the pharmaceutical industry, which is one of the most innovative and research-intensive sectors. Furthermore, we will explore collaborative international efforts, namely Operation Pangea led by INTERPOL, aimed at combating the global production, distribution, and sale of counterfeit medicines. |
