WIPO IP Portal: New Improved Version of the Menu Available

Modern, functional and easy to use, the WIPO IP Portal is the place to go for accessing WIPO’s full range of online intellectual property (IP) services.  

In our continued efforts to improve the services provided through the WIPO IP Portal, we have added a number of new features and streamlined the categorization of our online IP services, making it even easier for you to find what you are looking for.

What has changed?

  • “Marks” category has been renamed to “Trademarks”.
  • A new category “Assistance Programs” has been created that includes the Inventor Assistance Program (IAP) Online Platform.
  • The services included in the “Patents, Trademarks, Designs, Geographical Indications” categories have been grouped under four main sub-categories (Search, File & Manage, Pay) making navigation around WIPO IP services easier and more intuitive.
  • New links have been added under the existing categories:
    • Patents: A link to “Online Payment” options has been added under the Pay sub-category.
    • Trademarks: A link to the “Madrid System Forms” has been added under the File & Manage sub-category providing access to all official forms used under the Madrid System.
    • Designs: A link to the “Hague System Forms” has been added under the File & Manage sub-category providing access to all official forms used under the Hague System. A link to “Online Payment” options has been added under the Pay sub-category making it even easier to pay Hague System fees.
    • Geographical indications: The new File & Manage sub-category includes links providing access to all official forms used under the Lisbon Registry, to the “List of Accessions-Declarations” of the Contracting Parties, to the applicable “Procedures to challenge and enforce rights (Lisbon Union members)” and to information regarding the fees and payment methods for your international registration.
  • A link to the Global Brand Database has also been added under the Search sub-category.
  • The “Bookmarks” menu and widget (available only to logged in users) becomes “My Favorites”. “My Favorites” provides quick access to your bookmarked services and widgets.
  • A “NEW” icon has been added to highlight the new services available through the MENU.
  • Thanks to the advanced new design, the full description of the services can be seen below their name.
