Portugal: The Law No. 46/2011, of 24th June, which creates the Intellectual Property Court, was approved by the president of the Assembly of the Republic on April 6, 2011, promulgated by the President of the Republic on June 9, 2011 and entered into force on June 24, 2011.

This Law creates a Court of special competence for intellectual property and a Court of special competence for competition.
