New Zealand: The Geographical Indications (Wine and Spirits) Registration Amendment Act 2015 was passed on November 25, 2016, and entered into force on November 26, 2016. It amends the Geographical Indications (Wine and Spirits) Registration Act 2006.
The Act establishes a regime for the registration of geographical indications (GIs) for wines and spirits and regulates the use of New Zealand and foreign registered GIs.
