WIPO’s new Flagship Publication, the Green Technology Book puts innovation, technology and intellectual property (IP) at the forefront of the fight against climate change. The inaugural edition focuses on available solutions for climate-change adaptation, which aims to reduce vulnerability and increase resilience to climate impacts.
The launch of the Green Technology Book comes at a time when communities and individuals around the world are feeling the impacts of climate change. A practical guide for those struggling with climate change first-hand, the book showcases more than 200 readily available technologies as well as those that are currently under development. This first in the series focuses on critical areas affected by climate change, highlighting solutions for smart agriculture, water treatment, coastal protection and sustainable urban planning. Many of the best solutions are designed to work with, rather than despite, nature.
The publication’s findings build on the WIPO GREEN platform, which connects green technology providers from around the world with those seeking environmentally friendly solutions.
