WIPO and Kellogg School of Management Offer Executive Program on Strategies for Management Of Intellectual Property

As a response to the growing demand from the business community for executive programs on intellectual property (IP) management, the WIPO Worldwide Academy and the Kellogg School of Management - a leading business school - have teamed up for the second year running to offer the 2008 executive program on "Strategies for Management of Intellectual Property". This year’s program will be held at the Kellogg Campus in Chicago from June 9 to 12, 2008.
The course will offer an opportunity to gain a practical understanding of the various strategies and approaches to enable effective development and optimization of a company’s intellectual property assets, to formulate effective IP-focused business strategies and to successfully negotiate IP licensing agreements with business partners. The course is designed to address the needs and concerns of business and legal professionals who are involved in the process of business development and marketing as well as scientists and researchers, technology transfer managers and licensing executives. Leading academics and IP policy-makers from the Kellogg School of Management and WIPO will discuss a range of strategic issues related to IP management. These lectures will be complemented by special guest experts who will share their insights and practical experience of IP management with the Program’s participants.
