WIPO Director General Extends Condolences to the Kingdom of Jordan

The Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Dr. Kamil Idris, sent on Thursday a letter to His Majesty King Abdullah bin Hussein of Jordan to express his heartfelt and sincere condolences for the loss of His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal. Dr. Idris asked His Majesty King Abdullah to convey his condolences to the Royal family, as well as to the Government and people of Jordan.

Speaking both in his personal capacity and on behalf of his colleagues at WIPO, the Director General paid tribute to the late King Hussein, emphasizing his remarkable achievements that have marked the history of the region. He praised the late King's leadership qualities and commitment to his country.

Dr. Idris said he had the honor of meeting the late King Hussein - an encounter that left an extremely positive memory on the Director General.

The letter expressed Dr. Idris' best wishes to His Majesty King Abdullah in steering Jordan along the path traced by the late King Hussein for global peace and development.
