How to File your International Application

In this episode, Matthias Reischle, Deputy Director, PCT Legal Division, introduces the Budapest Treaty on the International Recognition of the Deposit of Microorganisms for the Purposes of Patent Procedure. He discusses: the time limits and procedures for depositing samples with International Depositary Authorities under the Treaty; required references to deposited biological material in an international application; as well as the provision of optional references, and the time limit for filing these.
