IPTIs Joint Cooperation Projects

The WIPO Academy supports the established Intellectual Property Training Institutions (IPTIs) in the design and delivery of joint cooperation projects tailored to local needs, ultimately empowering people on the ground.

Who can benefit?

As of 2023, over 30 follow-up cooperation projects have been developed across regions, which were supported by WIPO, including through the Build Back Fund. The projects enable women, entrepreneurs, youth, diplomats, IP experts, universities and research centers to upskill in IP and leverage their creative and innovative potentials for socio-economic development.
5 projects to empower women-led economic sectors from the creative industries to agribusiness.
11 projects for entrepreneurs from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to integrate IP into their business models.
3 projects to engage the youth on the power of intellectual property for a better future.
11 projects for other professional audiences such as diplomats, legal experts, universities, and research centers to gain IP knowledge and skills relevant to the services they offer.
