enforcement-2022-news0003-845

Expert speakers from diverse backgrounds will discuss a range of topical issues that arise in the enforcement of both copyright and industrial property rights and in building a culture of respect for IP through education and awareness raising.

A small sampling of webinar topics include:

  • IP Enforcement in the Metaverse,
  • Copyright Infringements in the Gaming Industry and
  • Engaging Young People to Foster a Culture of Respect for IP.

Conducted in English and open to all, the webinars will be held on a monthly basis in the form of one hour long virtual events, including up to two presentations and a Q&A session.

The first webinar is an Introduction to Online Piracy, providing a brief overview of online piracy and the legal challenges it presents, as well as showcasing some of the digital technologies that enforcement authorities have developed to detect this illegal activity. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea, this first webinar will take place Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. (CET).
