On April 26th, when the World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated, and which theme is “IP and Youth: Innovating for a better future”, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is pleased to announce the launch of the website “Respect for IP: Copyright”, aimed at supporting elementary school teachers in dealing with issues related to intellectual property.
The website developed by the WIPO Intellectual Property Respect Division has been fully translated into Portuguese, with the cooperation of the WIPO Brazil Office. The launch takes place at an event attended by students from the Vitor Miguel de Souza School in Florianópolis and is organized by the Santa Catarina State Council to Combat Piracy, with support from the Santa Catarina State University (UDESC), the Florianópolis City Hall, of the Interministerial Intellectual Property Group (GIPI), among other institutions related to the topic.
