WIPO China: IP Services Boost China's New Quality Productive Forces

Beijing, April 25 - During China National Intellectual Property Publicity Week, the 40th anniversary of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) and the International Intellectual Property Service Seminar were held in Beijing. Ms. Wang Binying, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), sent a congratulatory letter. Mr. Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Mr. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Mr. David Wong, Director of the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department, delivered a video speech. Mr. Bai Guangqing, Senior Counsellor of WIPO Office in China, was invited to the event.

Wang Binying congratulated CPA on its 40th anniversary. She expressed hope that the company would continue to capitalize on its expertise and make greater contributions to the global intellectual property (IP) services industry. WIPO also looks forward to deepening collaboration with CCPIT and CPA to further enhance the global IP ecosystem.

In his speech, Ren Hongbin emphasized the crucial role of IP services in fostering innovation, enhancing openness, and developing a high-standard market system. He noted that CCPIT is a significant foundation layer and promoter of China's IP system and an essential builder in the IP service sector. Over its forty years, CPA has made positive contributions to building China into an IP powerhouse.

The seminar was joined by approximately 160 participants from government agencies, intellectual property associations, research institutions, and innovation entities.
