Paying WIPO Academy Fees for IP Training and Courses

Learn about different payment methods and follow these easy steps to pay your fees as a final stage of completing your registration to any of intellectual property online training and courses at WIPO Academy.
  • You need a WIPO Account to pay your WIPO Academy fees for IP courses. Don’t have one? Create your WIPO Account now! Remember that a WIPO Account may belong to an individual only, not a group or an organization.
  • Pay your fees fully on time to complete the registration: we should receive your fee within 10 days of registration, otherwise we will consider it abandoned.
  • We do not accept payment by cash or check. Make payments in the requested currency.

WIPO Academy offers a variety of free-of-charge and fee-based courses on intellectual property. Visit WIPO eLearning Center to learn more about the courses and registration fees.
Warning! Please pay your fees fully on time to complete the process: the full fee should reach WIPO within 10 days of registration, otherwise your registration will be deemed abandoned.

How do I pay WIPO Academy fees for my IP training?

  • Step 1

    Enter WIPO eLearning Center

    • Click on the button Registration and Enrollments on eLearning Center’s web page
    • Login to your WIPO Account.
  • Step 2

    Complete/update your registration profile

    • Fill in your personal and professional details before registering for any course. You will find the forms by clicking on your WIPO Account name. This will ensure that the appropriate fee will be charged to your registration.
    • Submit the data to proceed.
  • Step 3

    Enrol for a course

    • Click on the button Register for and select a course from the list
    • Click on Register
    • Remember to verify registration details before submitting your application
  • Step 4

    Complete the payment form, selecting your payment method, and proceed with the payment

    Fill in the required payment information.
    WIPO Academy offers three (3) different payment methods to pay registration fees for all the courses:

    If you regularly use WIPO services, then a Current Account at WIPO – managed in Swiss francs – is perfect for you. It’s secure, fast, and free of charge and provides access to all your payment activity.
    You can pay in a currency different from Swiss Francs (CHF). In this case the official United Nations exchange rate will be applied (not the bank exchange rate).
    Make sure you have sufficient funds in your Current Account at WIPO before completing your transaction.

    Available credit/debit cards are: VISA, MASTERCARD, JAPAN CREDIT BUREAU (JCB), DINERS/DISCOVER, AMEX (CHF only).

    Once you submitted your request to pay via Debit/credit Card, you will be redirected to your WIPO Pay Account.
    Strong customer authentication (SCA) may be required by your bank or card issuer to validate your credit card payment (PSD2). If you experience problems, please contact your bank or card issuer for assistance.

    You will receive a proforma invoice and detailed payment instructions to the email address connected to your WIPO Account once you submitted your request to pay via Bank Transfer. The instructions will include:
    • Basket ID (Example: DL000X00X1-00000),
    • WIPO’s IBAN and the payment details.
    Provide the Basket ID (DL000X00X1-00000) as a reference when you submit your payment to avoid processing delays.
    You are responsible for any additional fees charged by your bank or any intermediary bank. Make sure the amount you send covers any such fees. Funds can take up to 10 working days to reach our bank account.
  • Step 5

    Receive a payment confirmation and a receipt

    For payments with a Current Account at WIPO and Credit or Debit Cards:
    • If the payment is successful, you will receive a payment confirmation by email.

    For the Bank Transfer payments:
    • If the payment is successful, you will receive a payment confirmation and receipt by email within 10 working days.

Paid with a bank transfer? Fill in the refund form. Paid with other payment methods? You will receive a refund automatically.
