The CAF requires that paragraphs of the description be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals. The title of the invention and section titles (such as "Summary of Invention" and "Example 1") are not numbered. The order of elements in a PCT application is prescribed by Section 207 of the Administrative Instructions.
