The IP for Business Division (IPBD) is committed to develop value added products and services for SMEs to help them better integrate IP in their companies DNA, building partnerships with institutions providing support for SMEs on the ground, and developing evidence-based solutions that can be easily adapted and implemented by beneficiaries.
To this end, the IPBD has engaged in several activities in partnership with national institutions of WIPOs Member States to reach SMEs and present the IP Diagnostic Tool as the first step in the journey of an SME to build an IP strategy.
The most recent activity is the presentation of the tool, on Thursday, May 19, 2022, to Colombian SMEs in the context of the Fabricas de Productividad Program with Colombia Productiva, which attracted over 100 entrepreneurs interested in learning how IP is relevant to their business and how to benefit from the IP system.
The upcoming activity is organized in collaboration with WIPO Academy and the IP Training Institution of El Salvador Escuela de Propiedad Intelectual (EPI), where entrepreneurs will receive a hands-on training on how to use the Tool.
