WIPO and Trampoline Network join forces to enhance the dissemination of innovation through Intellectual Property protection and commercialization in Latin America. Alliances and partnerships, at the regional level, are key for effective dissemination and deployment of WIPO’s tools and services for SMEs, making Intellectual Property a key business enabler.
On March 3, 2023, WIPO and Trampoline Network signed an MOU in which the Trampoline Network became part of WIPO’s Effective SMEs Intermediaries program in Latin America, contributing to the region's development and fostering a prosperous and sustainable future.
Trampoline Network, a dynamic digital platform facilitating the commercialization of intellectual property assets, plays a pivotal role in nurturing innovation ecosystems by providing a collaborative space for universities, entrepreneurs, and governments in Latin America.
Through this alliance, WIPO has made available to the public via the Trampoline Network's digital platform, WIPO’s IP Diagnostics and IP for Business Series of guides.
Intellectual property plays a key role in fostering economic development in the region's innovative ecosystems. The protection of intellectual property rights allows the appropriation of innovation and creativity efforts.

As part of the partnership, Trampoline's staff participated in a comprehensive training to use WIPO’s tools and materials as part of their business support services.

As a follow-up, on June 28, a public workshop was conducted focusing on "the role of intellectual property in the economic development of SMEs." The workshop gathered participation from over 70 attendees, including entrepreneurs, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, and universities, highlighting the relevance of intellectual property in driving SME growth.
