Laos Launches First IP Management Clinic Program

Led by the WIPO Singapore Office (WSO) and the IP for Business Division (IPBD), this program, aims to enhance the intellectual property (IP) strategies of Laotian enterprises.
In collaboration with local and international partners, including the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP), the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) and the ASEAN Secretariat and with the invaluable support of Funds-In-Trust Japan Industrial Property Global (FIT/Japan IP Global), the clinic will offer mentoring and training sessions for 30 companies across various industries. The program aims to equip businesses with effective IP strategies tailored to the digital economy landscape. Following the in-person sessions that took place from 12 to 15 March, participating companies will receive ongoing support, including online mentorship and access to WIPO resources, to further develop their IP portfolios.
