Nadjahi, a collaborative initiative between the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI), invites applications for its IP Management Clinic program. This program, conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, is supported by the SME Development and Innovation Promotion Agency (l’Agence de Développement de la PME et de la Promotion de l’Innovation “ADPMEPI”) and the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (Conseil du Renouveau Économique Algérien “CREA”).

Nadjahi is designed to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and emerging startups in Algeria's industrial sectors. The program focuses on helping businesses develop effective intellectual property (IP) strategies that align with their business plans and IP portfolios, ensuring a robust foundation for commercial success.

Key Objectives

This initiative aims to:

  • Support up to 20 selected SMEs across Algeria by offering personalized guidance to optimize the strategic use of IP.
  • Provide participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in both national and global markets.
  • Deliver a dynamic mix of interactive workshops, group coaching sessions, and individual expert advice in business, new technologies, and IP.

Who Should Apply?

The program is ideal for technology-intensive SMEs/startups with a strong innovative component. Companies that integrate or plan to integrate intellectual property into their development activities are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A clear business model objective.
  • The potential to incorporate IP into their business model, even without prior registration.
  • An entrepreneurial team of at least two individuals proficient in Arabic and French.

Project schedule

  • Submission of applications: July 10 to August 30, 2024
  • Official launch event: October 2024
  • Program period: October 2024 to February 2025
