Goal of the second bootcamp

The goal of this second Moubadar’art program training session was to build support for the next generation of actors in the country’s cultural and creative industries. Over three days, participants received intensive training focused on

  • the management of company intellectual property (IP) assets;
  • the various business models in the cultural and creative industries; and
  • different approaches to digitalizing companies.

Opening of the session

Opening the bootcamp, the director of the WIPO Algeria Office, Mohamed Saleck Ahmed Ethmane, stressed the importance of the Moubadar’art project in providing project leaders with the support they needed to succeed. Such initiatives played a key role in making the cultural and creative industry ecosystem more dynamic, by promoting culture and national heritage and thereby contributing to the country’s economic development. The Deputy Director General of ONDA, Mehdi Delmi, said that it was crucial for businesses to include IP in their strategies in order to ensure success. The close collaboration between the various partners had made the project a great success.

During the intensive training course, participants were able to further consolidate their business models and deepen their understanding of IP issues through workshops run by leading experts. The main goal was to help them to better structure their product pitch and business strategies and to raise their awareness of key aspects of IP.

A project with promise

The Moubadar’art project reflects the partners’ desire to stimulate the cultural and creative industries in Algeria. By providing an environment conducive to learning, above all in the areas of business and IP, it is proving decisive for the future success of project leaders. The essential skills that participants acquired in the intensive training course will equip them to advance in what is a constantly changing sector.

Bootcamp follow-up

Beyond the three-day training course, business and IP experts will provide ongoing support to participants. Follow-up will include further workshops and online sessions to help them put into practice what they have learned.

The Moubadar’art program is part of the WIPO Intellectual Property Management Clinic program.
