Reference is made to the ongoing implementation of the Development Agenda (DA) project Capacity-Building in the Use of Appropriate Technology-Specific Technical and Scientific Information as a Solution for Identified Development Challenges in Ethiopia, Rwanda and Tanzania.
WIPO is currently in the process of undertaking State-of-the Art Patent Searches based on two Patent Search Requests received from the National Experts for each of the above mentioned beneficiary countries. These Patent Search Requests are based on nationally identified priority needs areas and were prepared after significant deliberations, including national needs assessment and analysis, by the National Expert Groups which were institutionalized for the project.
