The objectives of the training course and the regional consultation are:
• To enhance skills of senior officials of Caribbean intellectual property offices for better handling of trademark examination procedures, in order to put in place a harmonized and integrated regional system of examination for trademarks;
• To discuss new trademark issues faced by the Caribbean offices and to provide means for responding to the new challenges; and
• To produce a Trademark manual that can be used as an operational manual and also a reference point by the national IP Offices.
At the end of the course, participants will be familiar with current issues relating to trademarks and will have received training on technical and procedural matters. |
