1. The Hague Platform Project relies on a supplier (Everis) for software development provided by off-site development teams primarily located in Alicante. Although Everis has established a schedule of regular twice-monthly visits of their project management team to Geneva, it is also important that key members of the WIPO Hague Project team visit the Everis premises to establish effective relationships with the remote teams, and for overall oversight of the development activities and general project management governance.
2. The last Hague Platform Project oversight mission to Everis took place in August 2017, and it is proposed that the next one take place on February 20 and 21, 2018. This proposed mission would be undertaken by Messrs. Jean-François Ouellette and Abdelaziz Keddar.
3. The mission objectives would include:
– reviewing the automated tests and the code for screens, components, etc.;
– seeing how the developers focusing on UI are interacting with BO developers with a view to finding improvements in the process;
– feedback on the way Kanban is being implemented
– participating in the development and requirement specification activities, and establishing relationships with the members of the remote teams. |
