One graduate student from the Master’s degree in Intellectual Property (IP) program offered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) and Africa University (AU) will be further trained for a period of two weeks in a patent or trademark attorney office (hereinafter referred to as the “Office”) in Japan in order to gain practical experience in IP-related matters. The envisioned result is for classroom learning to be complemented with actual work experience so the graduate can acquire not just knowledge but also skills and insights of the real world of IP. Every attempt will be made to match the interests of the trainee with the core activities of the Office hosting the student. |
