Please refer to the letter of May 5, 2016 (copy attached) from Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze, Chairman, National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (SAKPATENTI), requesting WIPO to assist SAKPATENTI in organizing a joint Sub-Regional Conference on IP Strategies in Kvareli, Georgia on September 15 and 16, 2016. By his letter dated June 8, 2016 (copy attached) the Director General confirmed to Mr. Gogilidze WIPO’s willingness to co-organize this event.
In this regard, the following proposals are suggested for the event:
1. Title: Sub-Regional Conference on IP Strategies.
2. Purpose of event: The objective of the Conference would be to exchange experiences and strengthen understanding on the importance of intellectual property strategy development and discuss issues faced by countries in putting in place such strategies. |
