Description: |
The Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP), at its fourteenth session held in November 2012, decided to proceed with the organization of an International Conference on Intellectual Property and Development. It is recalled that following a decision taken by the tenth session of the Committee, the Conference was initially planned to take place in November 2013. However, due to a disagreement among Member States on the list of speakers, the Conference was postponed. The Tenth session of the CDIP also agreed upon the organizational aspects of the Conference, notably, the title, objectives, venue, themes, speakers and panelists, participants and the outcome of the Conference, which are contained in document CDIP/11/5 (attached). The objective of the conference is “to discuss the role of intellectual property (IP) in development at national, regional and international levels” |
