In his letter of October 29, 2015 (copy attached), Mr. Yuriy Boshytskyi, Rector, Kyiv University of Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, invited Mr. Svantner, Director, Department for Transition and Developed Countries (TDC), to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference on Modern Challenges and Actual Problems of Intellectual Property Law in Ukraine and Europe, to take place in Kyiv, on December 10 and 11, 2015.
However, due to the 2016 Workplan meetings with the Director General which are scheduled for the same dates, Mr. Svantner is unable to undertake a mission to Kyiv.
In this regard, it is suggested that:
(i) Mr. Oleksandr Shevchenko undertake a mission to Kyiv on December 10 and 11, 2015, in order to attend the event, participate in the ceremonies of official opening and closing of the Conference, and make a presentation in Ukrainian on WIPO Activities Related to Innovation Development and Elaboration of IP Policies in Universities;
(ii) WIPO cover the cost of one lunch break for 100 persons (up to Sfr15 per person) and four coffee breaks for 100 persons (up to Sfr3.20 per person per coffee break).
