The Islamic Republic of Iran is in the process of developing an Act on Protection of Traditional Cultural Expressions. One objective of the proposed study-visit is to discuss the preliminary draft Act on Protection of Traditional Cultural Expressions, which will take place on June 22, 2015. Additionally, the proposed study-visit, which will be during the Seminar on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expressions: Regional and International Dimensions, would allow the funded officials to attend the seminar and learn about experiences from the experts of other regions and countries, and provide an opportunity for the funded officials to meet and exchange views with other officials. |
