Some of the trainers (“Trainers”) of the Egyptian IP Academy who completed the training of trainers program will train the new group of selected trainers (“Participants”) on teaching methodologies, under the guidance of teaching methodology experts. At the end of this training, trainers will be able to: - Design a training program on teaching methodologies including how to elaborate a pre-assessment, the participant-centered learning cycle model approach - Deliver at least two hours of training using the WIPO Academy learning cycle for adult learning; and - Elaborate self-assessment exercises and support training materials according to pre-defined standards By the end of the training, the Participants will be able to: - Describe the differences between adult/professional and student learning; - Draft a checklist for the introductory session of an IP training program; - Draw the participant-centered learning cycle model and identify and describe the four steps in the cycle and the purpose of each; - Describe the main ways in which a diagnostic on IP may be conducted; - Produce an action identification and action prioritization; - Draft performance-based objectives for an IP course; - Conceive an IP course design following the participant-centered learning cycle model; - Deliver the planned training session; - Conduct a self-evaluation of one’s own training style and describe the basic approach of at least two other styles; - Describe the role of the facilitator; - Demonstrate correct use of the training equipment (e.g. PowerPoint, etc.); - Create a list of at least 50 “best-practices” that can add professionalism in the planning and delivery of the IP training sessions; - List at least three “best-practices” for the organization of practical exercises; and - Conceive and implement a training evaluation strategy for IP training. |
