Description: |
Technology seekers and owners, and relevant stakeholders from the financial and regulatory, policy and other spheres will be able to meet for future possible deals as well as obtain practical training in IP management. The Seminar will include a combination of round table discussions, a training program for a selected group of professionals and a networking/matchmaking event. It will present major findings of the project through a roundtable discussion with relevant stakeholders from industry associations, technology owners, government institutions, financial institutions, intergovernmental organizations and civil society groups. By bringing all relevant stakeholders together, the Seminar will facilitate the transfer of waste water treatment technologies from technology owners to those seeking solutions, while welcoming feedback from all participants. WIPO will also conduct a half-day training session on how IP rights play a role in technology commercialization, and why IP is one important component of the technology transfer process. |
