Title: National Seminar on Intellectual Property Policies in Universities
Description: In line with the conclusions of the Brainstorming Session regarding the implementation of the TDC IP Institutional Policies Programs, we will apply an objective-oriented, commitment-based and follow-up planed approach, in order to obtain sustainable impact of the program on the situation in Belarus universities and research and development (R&D) institutions.
In that context, prior to the event, we will send to beneficiary institutions, well selected by NCIP, the WIPO University Initiative Survey to assess their needs and current IP status, so to be able to plan customized follow-up activities and their timelines. The assessment of needs and “action plan” will be discussed with the national stakeholders and beneficiary institutions during the meeting, with clear indication of the “next steps” but also of the expected commitment and active contribution from their side as well.
The objectives of the event would be to raise awareness on the need of development of IP Policies in Universities and to support them in developing the first draft, by using WIPO customized tools and methodologies.
