The Cluster A3 of the above work plan relates to “providing experts to countries to address gaps or lack of expertise including in human resource matters, developing examiner manuals, advanced examiner or hearing officer training, undertaking public education and awareness activities and IT automation and support to IP offices and other IP institutions such as CMOs”. Under the said Cluster, there is a planned expert mission to Myanmar to provide training on financial forecasting, income projection and on development of a human resource strategy for the national IP office. This training will form part of the on-going efforts to assist the Government of Myanmar in building capacity of the designated staff from the Ministry of Science and Technology who will man the future national IP office. The proposed mission would be useful for Myanmar in preparation for the launch of its new national IP office which is envisaged in the course of 2015, particularly in training the staff on financial and human resource aspects of managing an IP office. |
