Subsequent to planning the 2014 roving seminar events for the U.K. in cooperation with the U.K. Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and other stakeholders, CIPA has invited WIPO to attend the 2014 CIPA Congress in order to promote the UK roving seminars. This promotion would be achieved by making a presentation at the congress to all delegates.
The CIPA Congress is the UK’s largest patent event, attracting over 300 patent and other IP professionals from the UK and over 20 other countries. A draft program for the CIPA Congress 2014 is attached. This represents a valuable opportunity to promote the roving seminars on WIPO services and initiatives to a large, international audience of IP professionals and thereby support the outreach effort for the UK roving seminars, 6-9 October, 2014, as well as subsequent roving seminars in other countries.
It is proposed that Mr. Ben Leadbetter of the Section for the Coordination of Developed Countries will deliver the presentation at the CIPA Congress. |
