WIPO has been invited to conduct a Workshop on Intellectual Property Laws Amendment Act, 2013, to take place in Pretoria, South Africa. The Workshop is being organized by WIPO and the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (the CIPC). We propose that we engage a locally-based expert to assist with the finalization of the program, the practical arrangements, with making presentations and to be available after the Workshop for a short period for any follow-up that the CPIC may need. The Act is very complex, and the discussions at the Workshop are likely to be intense. The Workshop is spread over four days. Furthermore, it is likely that the CIPC will need immediate follow-up after the Workshop and the locally-based expert could be available for a short period as a resource to the CIPC.
